It was a season that Haryana will remember with fond memories - not many teams will say they had a successful year after crashing out at the quarter-final phase of the Ranji Trophy, but for the Mohit Sharma-led team, the pluses outweighs the minuses - by a huge margin. Casting one's eyes back to October, Haryana began their 2016-17 Indian domestic season as rank outsiders, having had to play in Group 'C' or simply called 'Plate League'. For them to go on and make it to the final eight was a huge stepping stone in itself. Having made it back to the elite division, they can look forward to building on the start.
